Divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100. Formula: (X ÷ Y) × 100. For example, 45 is what % of 180? → (45 ÷ 180) × 100 = 25%.
How is percentage change calculated?
Percentage change = ((New − Old) ÷ Old) × 100. A positive result is an increase; negative is a decrease.
